Brett is passionate about his work in property management, growing the family business and continuing to build the Universal legacy.

While studying for his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Quinnipiac University, Brett also worked as an intern at Universal Properties and began learning the “ins and outs” of the commercial real estate business.

After graduating in 2018, Brett earned his Massachusetts real estate broker and salesperson license and soon took a full-time position with Universal as Assistant Property Manager at Stoney Brook Village. Here, he learned how to service tenants, as well as to manage and maintain the Stoney Brook buildings and grounds.

Brett moved to back to the main office in 2020 and took on a new role as the company’s assistant accountant, where he handled all of the bookkeeping and learned the company’s accounting software.

He began his current role, as company vice president, in 2022. In this position, he oversees lease renewals, applications, contracts, and advertising, as well as managing the company’s financials and budgets. He also plays an important role in identifying new property investments to expand the company’s portfolio.

In addition to his real estate license, Brett is also pursuing his contractor’s license.
